visions of dubai: part II

visions of dubai

playing, sweating & camel riding

playing in dubai

ROW ONE / Vida Hotel
We began our evening at Vida Hotel in downtown Dubai. Instant chic vibes upon entry with minimalist decor in neutral tones and an essence of good energy. ✨We lounged in a poolside day bed and sipped well crafted tequila cocktails.

ROW TWO / Treehouse at Taj Hotel
Our next stop was Treehouse lounge which describes itself as 'an urban hideaway for effortlessly chic people of taste.' We had a seat at the rooftop bar and surveyed the scene, noticing these 'people of taste' wrapped in blankets. Feeling a bit of a chill, we requested two for ourselves. The bartender, Gabriel, said he had just given his last blanket away, so instead he poured us tequila shots. And then another, and another..etc. We spent the next hour chatting with Gabriel and our seat mates, and taking (too many) tequila shots / drinking mezcal cocktails.🙈

ROW THREE / Above at Sofitel
Our last destination was round II at Above lounge, where we danced, drank merlot & smoked hookah. Our adventurous souls attracted some fun new friends into our evening, and I loved hearing each person’s story & what brought them to Dubai. I entered into an elevator filled with a group of guy friends. I was obsessed with their looks, that I would describe as ’sheik street style’. Curated outfits mixing traditional UAE pieces w/ Supreme T’s & Yeezys. One of my favorite fashion moments of my trip 🎯

> beauty: Lumion Oxygen MistOxygen Serum, Crop Natural cleansing gel + hydrating Aloe Vera Mask

> food: room service mezze platter (obv) no better way to soak up all that tequila than with pita, hummus & fallafel, wearing robes & face masks

> drink: multiple bottles of water with Ultima electrolyte powder (grape flavor is my favorite!!)

> supplements: Zhou Nutrition Milk Thistle, NutriBiotic Essential Electrolyte supplement, Nature's Bounty Vitamin B-12

morning workout

at sofitel

On morning two we woke up and applied for expedited visas for India, booked a private camel ride in the desert, took some pre-workout energy boosters & made our way to SoFit for some sweat detoxing, followed by another poolside squat/lunge/plank session.

> energy boosters: Zhou Nutrition Keto Drive (I swear by this stuff!!), Zhou Nutrition Energy + Focus, Nature's Bounty Vitamin B-12

(These Adidas by Stella McCartney leggings were the perfect workout pant for the trip because they are super light, breathable + comfortable. Also wearing Nike sportsbra + DVF sunnies)

We spent our afternoon on a stunning 3 hour camel adventure through the Dubai desert.

We felt such serenity as we trekked through the vast, lustering sand dunes.

By hour three we were starving and ready for some stimulation, so we listened to Drake as we ate RXBARs and Go Raw Sprouted Flax Snax while watching the sunset & taking lots of golden hour selfies w/ our camel fam.

Our adventure concluded with camel milk samples (which tasted pretty much the same as normal milk) and then said BRB to Dubai as we made our way to Abu Dhabi for a quick 24 hour exploration. But what an incredible, awe-inspiring 24 hours it was!!
